The Marie Frame School of Dance opened in 1989 and is now well established in New Stevenston. As there are several newer schools in the area, now would be a good time to explain exactly what is on offer at the Marie Frame School of Dance.
Marie was trained at the Betty Stewart School of Dance in Clydebank the training included all aspects of dance from classical ballet to jazz. On graduating she then moved naturally into professional performance. The next 13 years saw her achieve her goals of working as a professional dancer in the theatre and tv while working with some of the leading choreographers in Britain. It is this experience of professional theatre and the various techniques and the ideas picked up along the way that can be passed onto her students.
As a fellow member of the Scottish Dance Teachers Alliance (MSDTA), Marie's students can be sure that they are being taught to the highest possible standard by fully qualified professional.
Whether you want to dance for fitness, pleasure or as a profession, the school caters for all. Marie's commitment to maintaining the high standards already set in her school is of prim importance; this ensures competent teaching, happy students and hopefully enjoyable classes.
Anyone can join the dance school from aged 2.5 and upwards and get the chance to perform in biannual shows and dancing exams. A wide range of dance classes are available - tap, ballet, modern, jazz and street dance.
The dancing displays are a great chance for everyone to show off what they love doing best. Students also get a chance to perform in small drama sketches, showing an overall talent.
All dancing exams have had successful results with 100% pass rates. Examinations take place in all areas of dance taught and everyone is presented with their certificates and medals at an awards ceremony at the end of that year.
Many of our students have gone on to further their career at The Dance School Of Scotland and Telford College. Others are professional dancers and qualified teachers.
